Insoluble Sulfur And Properties It Offer To Rubber Manufacturing

 Rubber and rubber components are widely used in all parts of the world, in various forms. Most of the time we don’t even notice them, but they have a big impact in simplifying our daily lives. However it will be very difficult to form rubber into what we are using today without the help of insoluble sulfur. Known as the best vulcanizing agent among the rubber manufacturers, insoluble sulfur is what helps to prevent blooming in rubber. 



As we can not use the natural rubber due to its lack of characteristics, that’s why treating it with other chemicals under vulcanization helps rubber manufacturers to produce synthetic rubber with better characteristics, more tensile strength and improved resistance to heat and oxidation.


However, storing insoluble sulfur compounds can get tricky, as it is an unstable chemical that reverts into rhombic sulfur at room temperature. That’s why it is necessary to maintain the desired environment. Or use other better grade insoluble sulfur such as crystex HD OT 20. 


Without insoluble sulfur, the rubber component won’t have the strength and agility, longevity and improved insulation properties. Insoluble sulfur is the most common raw material in a tire manufacturing industry, as avoiding rubber blooming is very crucial when creating radial tires.
