Vulcanizing Agent In Rubber

In order to improve the physical and chemical properties of both natural and synthetic rubber, all the different rubber manufacturers need to add the vulcanizing agent in rubber. Vulcanization is a chemical process that helps rubber manufacturers more sturdy but flexible rubber that can be used to manufacture all sorts of rubber compounds that we use in our daily lives.

Sulfur is the most common and most preferred vulcanizing agent in rubber industry. As when the rubber is heated in the presence of sulfur and other activators, it forms cross-linking (long rubber molecules). These long cross-links help rubber to attain better elasticity, tensile strength and viscosity.
