Polymeric Sulfur

 Seeing the current environmental conditions, the world has shifted its interest in the utilization of waste materials to reduce environmental burden, to achieve sustainability, and add product value. There are a number of ways to achieve such a cause, including green chemistry. 

Elemental sulphur is one of the main highlights, it is a by-product of petroleum industries and gas refineries and causing environmental waste. As sulfur is the most mass-produced material in the world. Even though it has a limited number of uses. 

    


However to make things right market-leading industries like OCCL are using this waste material and turning it into polymeric sulfur via a process called inverse vulcanization. This helps the company to manufacture chemically stable polymeric sulfur that can be easily used by various industries to make better functioning plastic products.
