 Elemental sulfur is one of the most widely manufactured materials in the world. Even though it has a limited number of uses, the production of sulfuric acid is one of them. Despite the excess manufacturing of elemental sulfur, the development, and processing method of converting sulfur into useful polymeric sulfur is still not well versed in the industry.

So what is inverse vulcanization?

The process to prepare chemically stable polymeric materials through the direct copolymerization of elemental sulfur with vinylic monomers is known as inverse vulcanization. It is this process that helps to convert waste into useful polymeric sulfur that can be later used by different industries to build stable plastic products.
